Here’s a quick recap of the May 15 primary election:
AARP Pennsylvania is a proud sponsor of the 3 rd annual Philly Free Streets event. Philly Free Streets, a people-powered initiative of the City of Philadelphia, will block off several miles of vehicular traffic along Broad Street on August 11 th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The car-free route spanning several miles from City Hall to Erie Avenue will create a connection between Center City and North Philadelphia where people can bike, walk or play to explore the neighborhoods. This event is free and open to the public.
With warm weather in the forecast it is always nice to get outside. When you’re out and about this spring and summer, look for AARP Pennsylvania in the Pittsburgh community at several exciting events. Whether its service or enjoying some quality time with members of the city and surrounding counties, you can count on AARP being there. Keep a special lookout for us at the upcoming OpenStreets events and PrideFest! Join us at any of these listed events in your local community.

Warm weather is approaching. At least that’s what we’re hoping! From spring through summer, AARP Pennsylvania is going to have a huge presence at events in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. Some big events to look out for over the upcoming months are PIFA, the Pride Festival, and ODUNDE. Join us at any of these events in your local community.
AARP Ambassador Regina Belle visited Philadelphia recently to honor African American women entrepreneurs and community activists. Celebrating the life of one of America’s most unsung icons and advocate for economic equality, Madam CJ Walker, Belle proudly participated in the 32nd Annual Madame CJ Walker Awards Luncheon & Economic Empowerment Seminar sponsored by AARP PA.
