See Ohio's role at American Civil War Museum in Tiffin

The American Civil War Museum of Ohio in Tiffin

With over eight unique and hands-on exhibits, The American Civil War Museum of Ohio is the one of the best places to learn about the cause, effect, and outcome of the American Civil War on past and current generations.

On August 16 th AARP members can tour the museum free of charge. This 90-minute guided tour features exhibits that explain factors leading up to the war, technology used during the war, and much more. Member also will learn about Ohio’s role in the Civil War by viewing a traveling exhibit from the Hayes Presidential Center called “Ohio Leads a Nation.” The exhibit explores the roles Ohio leaders played during the Civil War.

Exhibits include artifacts, mannequins, informational displays, and hands-on activities that allow history to come to life. The American Civil War Museum of Ohio makes it their mission to educate citizens about the impact of the Civil War on the past and present in a unique and educational way; both history buffs and casual observers will find the information fun to learn.

AARP members will meet at the museum on Saturday, August 16th, for a tour at 1 p.m. It will end at about 3 p.m. Free parking is available at the museum located at 217 South Washington Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883.
