AARP Eye Center
We can hardly believe the summer almost over. But alas, all good things must come to an end. We’ll remember that as we say goodbye to our wonderful, talented, and beloved social media intern Caitlin next week.
With Caitlin heading back to Providence to finish up her senior year, we’re searching for our next social media intern. Are you ready to rock our socks off with your online marketing and digital strategy skills? We want you!
Position Overview
Working out of our Pasadena office, you’ll work with our Digital Strategy Director as part of our Communications team, assisting with online marketing and social media outreach. You’ll help research and write social media and blog posts; monitor links and mentions; and compile and track metrics. You’ll learn how to use social media management and analytic tools and have input into our digital strategy. We offer flexibility based on your skills and interests, as well as your schedule.
The internship offers a $15/day stipend, plus reimbursement for mileage and parking. You’ll have real hands-on experience here – you won’t be fetching coffee or making copies. (We also promise to take you out to lunch and buy you cupcakes sometimes!) We value our interns, some of whom have gone on to work for us and many whom still visit from time to time. AARP offers a fun and interesting workplace full of opportunities to learn.
Through your internship, you’ll be connecting with AARP members, volunteers, and staff so that you can understand and help share the full story of our work in the state. Want an insider’s view of the internship? Check out Caitlin’s Tumblr post on her experience working with us.
