Governor Noem kicked off the 2022 legislative session this week, AARP has your weekly recap of what you need to know.

Today, AARP South Dakota released a new survey of 1,000 registered voters age 50+ in the state which shows overwhelming bipartisan support for expanding Medicaid in South Dakota to those earning under $18,000 annually.

In February, state residents can make their voices heard at three AARP South Dakota–sponsored legislative coffee events in Sioux Falls.

When the legislature convenes this month for its nine-week session, AARP South Dakota and its volunteer advocates will be promoting policies that benefit older adults.
