Take Action! Ask Your Legislators to Support the AARP OK CARE Plan

Year after year, Oklahoma nursing home care ranks among the worst in the nation. Now, a News on 6 investigation, Oklahoma Nursing Homes Rank Among Worst in Nation, underscores the severity of the problem. Watch the special report HERE.

Are you ready for change? If so, please ask your state senator to support AARP’s Nursing Home CARE (Creating Accountability, Reform and Excellence) Plan. The CARE Plan includes HB1013, SB142 and SB280 with amendments. The CARE Plan seeks to end the overuse of antipsychotics in nursing homes, increase access to alternative services, including home health, and require nursing homes to provide quality care in order to be paid.

We are all tired of Oklahoma nursing home care and safety being ranked among the worst in the nation. It is unconscionable that we are not providing the care and dignity our state's most frail and vulnerable deserve.

Take action today!
