AARP Virgin Islands Anti-Fraud Initiatives

AARP in the Virgin Islands is working hard to protect our community from scams and fraud. Recent efforts include:

  • Educational Sessions between the AARP Virgin Islands and AARP Puerto Rico state offices which taught participants how to avoid scams, especially after disasters and during high-risk seasons like the holidays.
  • Legislative Advocacy: AARP VI is driving collaborations with lawmakers, the DOJ, and local community partners to strengthen anti-elder abuse laws and increase protections for vulnerable residents.
  • AARP also advocates for stronger consumer protections to combat scams. By pushing for better laws and regulations, AARP amplifies your voice in the fight against fraud.
