Every year, with the AARP Andrus Award for Community Service, AARP celebrates individuals 50 and older who have used their experience, talent and skills to advance the organization’s mission and commitment to community service.
AARP Virgin Islands is looking for nominees for this award, named after founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus.
AARP membership is not a requirement, but nominees must be 50 or older and have performed their accomplishments on a volunteer basis. Andrus Awards are given in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Distict of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
Couples and partners are eligible; nominees must live in the Virgin Islands.
To nominate someone, go to aarp.org/andrusaward and fill out the form by Thursday, July 15.
