AARP Announces 21st Annual Healthy Living Conference

AARP Virginia is exciting to invite people age 50+ from across Hampton Roads for the 21 st Annual Healthy Living Conference! The event will be held at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, located on 4897 Longhill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, on April 6 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Attendees of this free event will learn smart strategies for healthy aging.

Topics will include:

  • Keynote Speaker Dr. Joan Vernikos, Author of “Sitting Kills, Moving Heals”
  • Overcoming the Aches and Pains of Aging
  • Virginia State AARP Updates
  • Painkillers – Friend or Foe
  • Cooking Demonstration
  • Community Service Provider Panel – Everything you want to know about local resources

The conference will also include free continental breakfast, seminars, exhibits, door prizes, prescription medication consultations and blood pressure checks.
