The Senior Ministry of First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries VA, participated in the Soup for Seniors Project. This project is to help homebound seniors have warm soup and crackers during winter months. Our donations went to the Meals on Wheels service provided by the Woodbridge Senior Center. Members packed 131 bags of soup and crackers, this our second Soup for Seniors event in support of the Woodbridge Center.

The seniors also participated in the Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detectors project by provided by AARP. Detectors will be delivered and installed by Fire Department staff.

Present at the meeting was Carol Downs, AARP VA State President.
