Become a Volunteer Financial Educator or Personal Financial Coach!

PORTSMOUTH _ Bank On Virginia Beach will soon be expanding to the Portsmouth area. Volunteers are needed to provide education and coaching to Bank On participants.

 

Financial Educators provides classroom lessons on a variety of financial topics. Trained volunteers conduct one class per month over a 10-month period.

 

Personal Financial Coaches meet with individuals one-on-one, guiding them through budgeting, debt repayment planning and savings plans. Trained volunteers meet 1 hour per month with each individual they are coaching.

 To prepare volunteers for service, the Master Financial Education Volunteer training course will be offered:

• Starts May 12 - 6:00 – 8:00 pm
• Meets weekly for 10 weeks
• Location: Tidewater Community College Portsmouth Campus
• Cost for materials $60
