Join the AARP Healthy Living Walking Group – it’s a MOVEment!

Being active is the secret to staying healthy, and walking is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to get moving. It’s a great way to get exercise into your day and build stronger relationships with family and neighbors and make new friends.

AARP has two walking groups that meet regularly. You are invited to get active with us! All speeds are welcome!

Indoor Sundays @ 11:00 a.m.
Meet us at Starbucks on Level One of Tysons II / Tysons Galleria
2001 International Drive, McLean, VA 22102
For more information, contact AARP Volunteer Coordinator, Reed Eldridge at 703-638-4390.

Outdoor Thursdays @ 11:00 a.m. (weather permitting)
Meet us at the main entrance of the Hollin Hall Senior Center
1500 Shenandoah Rd, Alexandria, VA 22308
For more information, contact AARP Volunteer Coordinator, Bev Medlin at 703-981-0165.

Proper Walking Technique
Follow these easy tips for perfect walking form:
· Swing your arms
· Hold your chest high
· Make sure your stomach is tucked in
· Keep your back straight
· Roll from heel to toe on both feet

Dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes and bring water.
