AARP Eye Center
Mother Nature was good to this AARP volunteer team on their first annual "Day of Service" at the Paul Stefan Foundation on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. It was a memorable day. Many thanks to Joan Albertella, Barb Ehlen, Judy Eiben, Gail Stoner, Bill Ruark and especially Mr. Reliable John Trach, who devoted two of his days to this project. The team did a masterful job of pulling weeds, planting flowers, tomato plants and cleaning up the area.
Randy A. James, CEO of the foundation, was extremely appreciative for the work accomplished by the group. The Paul Stefan Regional Home & Education Center provides a place for life skills, training, nutrition, housing and support services to help women and their babies gain the confidence to transition to independent, productive living.
AARP had the opportunity of having Randy James as a speaker at one of their general meetings. This is what inspired the Locust Grove AARP BOD to select this organization for the "Day of Service" that took place. Click here to learn about the Paul Stefan Foundation.
