Walk Roanoke with AARP Virginia

walking group

Meet new friends and have fun while staying healthy as part of Roanoke’s premier walking group. We are moving forward! Join us and enjoy the great spring weather.

Walking is a terrific way to keep your mind and body healthy and is a great way to maintain a healthy lifestyle at any age or level of athletic ability.

The walking group is scheduled to meet most Monday mornings. The detailed schedule including locations and times is listed below.

Walking for Grownups is free, open to all ages and we encourage you to bring friends and family members. Everyone is welcome to walk at their own pace, and walk as little or as much of the route as they choose. Advanced walkers will go 5K (approx. 3.1 miles). We expect the walk to be completed within 1- 1.25 hours. Walkers are not required to be members of AARP to participate.
