We'll talk about a wide range of topics, including the state of Washington's economy, the rising cost of health care, new protections for consumers and more. Plus, Gov. Ferguson will take questions from the listening audience.

The association’s most prestigious volunteer tribute recognizes outstanding individuals who are sharing their experience, talents and skills to enrich the lives of others. It’s a scam that hurts both financially and emotionally. Someone calls an elderly individual pretending to be his or her grandchild. They say they’re overseas, that there’s been an emergency and they need money immediately. Far too often, the unsuspecting grandparent rushes to help by wiring the money and the scammer picks it up, never to be heard from again.
The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP rolls in to Washington State in June as part of a nationwide tour to provide free prevention and early detection health services to underserved communities. The tour is traveling the country providing free tests, assessment, education and consulting services.
The State of Washington is looking to help current and future family caregivers! As Rosalynn Carter once said, “There are only four kinds of people in the world: 1. those who have been caregivers, 2. those who currently are caregivers, 3. those who will be caregivers, and 4. those who will need caregivers.” We are working hard to improve information and supports for family caregivers across the state.
Dental, vision and medical healthcare providers are asked to volunteer their services for Seattle/King County Clinic with Remote Area Medical®: a free 4-day clinic to be held at Seattle Center on October 23 – 26, 2014.
