It Takes More than Love to Care for a Loved One.Every day more than 820,000 Washingtonians perform a great labor of love: caring for older parents, spouses, and other loved ones so they can remain at home—where they want to be.
AARP members are invited to a special live telephone town hall meeting with Governor Jay Inslee on Tuesday, February 16. We will talk about the state legislative session and a series of initiatives to help ensure that people age with dignity and purpose including long term care, Medicaid expansion, the Alzheimer’s state plan and caregiving. After the Governor, two legislators will talk about the CARE Act, a bill to support family caregivers.
