Job Search in the Digital Age will be held on Feb. 18 from 10-11:15 a.m. at the Cottonwood Room of the Laramie County Public Library at 2200 Pioneer Avenue in Cheyenne. The course is free and there is no requirement to be an AARP member to take part.

Caregivers are encouraged to take part in AARP Wyoming’s popular series, Care for Caregivers, on Mondays in March. The weekly series, which explores self-care topics for caregivers, will be held at the Laramie County Public Library, 2200 Pioneer Avenue, in Cheyenne.

AARP Wyoming is seeking volunteers to join a Veterans Advisory Council, which will inform AARP Wyoming efforts in the space of Veterans, Military and Family outreach. The Advisory Council would meet quarterly to discuss how AARP can better serve Wyoming’s veterans. To volunteer, contact Jen Baier at jbaier@aarp.org, or call 920-392-2250. Does a COVID-19 vaccine mandate prohibition cut off Medicare funding for hospitals and health care providers? That question was one that was central to the debate during the Wyoming Legislature’s special session and may return during the 2022 Legislative Session in February.
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon’s Strike Team is evaluating more than $3 billion in proposals to spend money given to the state from the federal government through the American Rescue Plan (ARPA). ARPA rules require all funds be obligated by the end of 2024 and spent by 2026.
The Wyoming Housing Network is asking for your opinion on availability and affordability of senior housing in Wyoming. WHN is a non-profit, based in Casper, which seeks to strengthen Wyoming communities by providing quality resources and opportunities for people to reach their housing goals.
