AARP's Movies for Grownups advocates for the 50-plus audience by fighting ageism in the entertainment industry and encouraging films that resonate with older viewers. Our screening program offers attendees the opportunity to connect and create a community of film fans both in-person and online.
The movie, “A Man Called Otto,” features the film’s namesake, a grump who's given up on life following the loss of his wife and wants to end it all. When a young family moves in nearby, he meets his match in quick-witted Marisol, leading to a friendship that will turn his world around. The film features actors Tom Hanks, Rachel Keller, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Kailey Hyman, Cameron Britton.
