AARP Hosts Free Movies For Grownups Event in Sheridan

A Man Called Otto

Sheridan’s Age 50+ community is invited to a free screening of the movie, “A Man Called Otto,” on Friday, April 14, starting at 2 p.m. inside Sheridan’s WYO Theater.

Tickets are free but registration is strongly recommended and seating is first-come, first-served. Register at events.aarp.org/sheridanotto

AARP's Movies for Grownups advocates for the 50-plus audience by fighting ageism in the entertainment industry and encouraging films that resonate with older viewers. Our screening program offers attendees the opportunity to connect and create a community of film fans both in-person and online.

The movie, “A Man Called Otto,” features the film’s namesake, a grump who's given up on life following the loss of his wife and wants to end it all. When a young family moves in nearby, he meets his match in quick-witted Marisol, leading to a friendship that will turn his world around. The film features actors Tom Hanks, Rachel Keller, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Kailey Hyman, Cameron Britton.
