Care for Caregivers is back for its second season in Cheyenne. The five-week series is designed to give you the resources, knowledge, and community to navigate your caregiving journey with confidence. The sessions will go from 5:30-7:30 each Monday starting May 5 at Foxcrest Center, located at 4125 Cox Court in Cheyenne.

Each session will start with a dinner for caregivers and their care recipients from 5:30-6:15 followed by a presentation on the evening's topic. Care and activities will be available for care recipients who do not wish to attend the presentation. Pre-registration is not required but it does help event organizers plan for meal preparation. Pre-register by going to events.aarp.org/caregivingcheyenne or calling 1-877-926-8300. With no RSVP required, the series is designed to be as accessible as possible, recognizing the unpredictable demands caregivers face. There is no requirement to be an AARP member to take part.

Each session covers essential topics, with presentations by local experts on subjects such as legal and financial planning, caregiver brain health, and veterans benefits. Caregivers are equipped with information to proactively consider long-term care and end-of-life planning. By preparing in advance, care can align more closely with individual and family wishes, helping to avoid last-minute decision-making in a crisis. This practical knowledge empowers caregivers and helps them feel more prepared for the challenges ahead.
