CHEYENNE – If you have reservations about navigating today’s digital world with confidence and awareness, check out AARP Wyoming’s Older Adult Technology Services (OATS) series called Navigating the Digital Age. The three-part series is hosted by the Laramie County Library in Cheyenne over three Tuesdays, starting Oct. 14. The series is also available virtually by clicking below.

Navigating the Digital Age is free, but registration is required and can be done by clicking here or calling 1-877-926-8300. AARP membership is not required. You will receive an email with the Zoom link before the session.

This series offers practical guidance on protecting your personal information, recognizing AI-driven disinformation, and understanding the everyday uses of AI in modern life. You'll learn practical tips for protecting your personal information online, including how to browse safely, spot scams, and make smart decisions about sharing data. We'll also examine how artificial intelligence (AI) is used to create and disseminate disinformation through tools such as deepfakes and voice cloning, and share strategies for identifying misleading content. Finally, we’ll highlight the many ways AI is already part of everyday life — from voice assistants to healthcare — and show how you can use these technologies to your advantage.

There is no requirement to attend all three sessions, come to one or come to them all. All classes start at 10 a.m. Mountain Time.
