Supporting Those Who Care: A Customizable Caregiver Workshop Toolkit
AARP Wyoming has transformed its successful Care for Caregivers in-person series into a fully replicable toolkit designed to help community organizations better support caregivers in their area. Drawing from three years of delivering this program across the state of Wyoming, the toolkit offers a flexible curriculum that organizations can tailor to meet the unique needs of their local communities.
Each session is designed to provide practical tools, resources, guidance, and support for caregivers of all kinds—whether they’re caring for an aging parent, a partner, a child with special needs, or anyone else who depends on them. Topics range from legal and financial planning to home safety and mobility, with each workshop aimed at reducing stress, increasing confidence, and connecting caregivers with essential resources.
In addition to the session outlines, the toolkit includes insights, best practices, and helpful tips based on AARP Wyoming’s real-world experience hosting the series statewide. Whether your organization chooses to run the full 10-week program or select only the most relevant topics, this resource is a powerful way to engage and empower caregivers in your community.
