At a Veterans Resource Fair, a number of organizations set up tables in an attempt to offer help in signing up for benefits you have earned as a veteran, as well as other discounts and social clubs specifically for veterans. Among the groups who will be present at the Laramie Veterans Resource Fair are AARP Wyoming, Legion Post 14, Veterans of Foreign Wars,, the Wyoming Department of Corrections, Platteville Fly Fishing Club, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, and many more.
The fair will be located in the Grand Teton Ballroom at the Laramie Hilton Garden Inn. All veterans, their caregivers, and their family members are welcome.
The idea behind AARP’s Veterans, Military, and Family (VMF) initiative is a simple one - find a way to connect the nation’s veterans, and the better than 5 million AARP members who have served in our nation’s armed forces with what they deserve. It is that philosophy that has given birth to aarp.org/veterans, a free website that seeks to get information to veterans as quickly and easily as possible.
