Opera NOVA announces special performance of Cosi fan tutte dedicated to the senior community

Arlington County Opens Its Doors to Opera NOVA"s First Seniors Special Performance

Mozart’s classic, Cosi fan tutte (“Women Are Like That”) considered a masterpiece by experts while many laymen say it is just a ‘silly romp’ will be condensed. This Special Performance for senior citizens will be on Saturday, February 7th at 2 PM— lobby reception to follow --at Gunston 1 Theater 2700 South Lang Street, Arlington, VA.

The Opera will be a condensed 75 minute performance with piano, and will come with a Study Guide, a welcome by a “celebrity”, a scheduled Q & A after curtain, and a “Meet the Cast” in the Lobby Reception afterwards.

After over 40 years of performing an annual opera for children and reaching over 40,000 students, Opera NOVA with the performance of Cose fan tutte  offers the first of  an annual opera dedicated to a  senior audience.  Share with us the joy of giving deserved recognition, honor, and love to our rising seniors.  We anticipate that many of the older members of the senior audience will surprise us all by finding a fresh  appreciation for live, professional entertainment, when they hear the beautiful voices of our  outstanding cast of rising career opera singers at a quality venue provided to Opera NOVA by Arlington County Cultural Affairs.
