AARP is teaming up with Feeding Medina County to host a one-day food drive during Feeding Medina County’s annual Pizza Palooza cook-off and community showcase on the town square.
Pizza Palooza is taking place Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the historic Medina Town Square at West Liberty and South Court Streets in Medina, Ohio 44256.
In keeping with the spirit of Italian cuisine, we’re asking you to donate new boxes of dry pasta, canned spaghetti sauce, canned tomatoes, boxed pizza kits, and canned Italian-style green beans. You can drop off donated food in a marked area on the square, then enjoy the rest of the event.
Pizza Palooza gets its name from the local pizza cook-off conducted on the square to raise funds for Feeding Medina County. Also on the square that Saturday will be exhibits featuring information about local community service organizations and nonprofit agencies.
Be sure to stop by the AARP Ohio table at the Pizza Palooza to learn more about activities and events in which our members and volunteers are engaged throughout the state.
