AARP Alabama is helping residents avoid becoming victims in many ways, including by hosting online tutorials, known as Fraud Watch Fridays, to provide details of common scams and how to steer clear of them. The sessions are being held at noon, on June 4 and 18, and on July 2, 16 and 30.

AARP Alabama recently sent the attached letter to Governor Kay Ivey to again state the Association's strong support for Medicaid expansion. Medicaid expansion is critically important to improving health and economic development in Alabama.
The AARP Alabama Driver Safety Program currently has an opening for the State Coordinator position. This is the highest volunteer position in the program for the state, and requires both a commitment to the policies and direction of the AARP Driver Safety Program, and the ability to use effective leadership skills to advance the program at the state level.
