AARP Eye Center
AARP sponsored a panel discussion with The Paley Center for Media on how women on television are fighting ageism. Award-winning producer and president of HBO’s documentary division Sheila Nevins moderated a panel of all-stars who are sustaining careers in an historically ageist industry and thriving in the new “golden era” of television programming. Panelists included Marlo Thomas ( That Girl, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, Ballers), Carol Kane ( Taxi, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Tovah Feldshuh ( Holocaust, The Walking Dead, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Salvation), and Cheryl Wills (NY1 weekend evening anchor, host of In Focus with Cheryl Wills).
