Español Part of More than 150 Events Nationwide in AARP’s Annual “Operation: Stop Scams”
Español AARP is now accepting applications for the 2018 Community Challenge grant program to fund “quick-action” projects that spark change in local communities. The grant program, which is now in its second year, is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative, which aims to make communities great places to live for everyone.
Identity thieves and tax scammers typically begin targeting their victims during tax filing time, but more especially, after tax season when tax refunds are being paid out. And that is why AARP California, The IRS Criminal Investigation Division and The AARP Fraud Watch Network invite you to join a live informative telephone town hall discussion on Thursday, April 12th, 2018, at 6:00 PM PT about simple ways we can protect ourselves from fraud and tax scams. This discussion will include special guest speakers from the IRS Criminal Investigation Division and from AARP’s Fraud Watch Network. Sign up here!

Chavez has paved the way for individuals today to advocate for equitable wages and safe working conditions. In recognition of this legacy, former president Barack Obama mandated in 2014 that all fifty states honor Chavez’s legacy by observing a national holiday each year.
