In celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2016, AARP CA is shining a light on our esteemed volunteers – a group that continually brings enthusiasm and deep knowledge to the work done here in the California office. In the midst of this lively and charismatic group of volunteers, we find Alvetia E. Smith.

The Metro Board of Directors is holding public forums across Los Angeles County this month to get public input on its Draft Expenditure Plan (The Plan). Six (6) public forums are planned, and another will be held online. This is YOUR opportunity to have a say in the LA Metro Plan.

As National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2016 rolls on, AARP CA continues to honor some of our talented and devoted volunteers. Volunteers selflessly lend their time, skills, and experience to help us reach those in our communities. Among this selfless and talented group of volunteers is Sal Medina.

National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2016 is upon us and to celebrate, AARP California is honoring some of our devoted volunteers. We are fortunate to have volunteers who come from diverse backgrounds, and are rich in experience and knowledge. Volunteers are an integral part of the work AARP California is able to do in the community, and our esteemed volunteers come to us from all over the state with different backgrounds and experiences, both professional and personal. Throughout National Volunteer Appreciation Week, AARP California will be highlighting volunteers who are sharing their time, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members and help us reach our goal of creating livable communities for all.
