The award, which recognizes exemplary achievement and drive, is given to a college-bound graduating senior along with a $5,000 scholarship. Jason Nim is the eleventh student to receive the Andrus Opportunity Award.

Lillian Adams is a board member and former president of the North County African American Women’s Association in San Diego. NCAAWA is dedicated to providing a support network through education, health awareness, and life skills programs for women and girls in San Diego North County to increase their self-sufficiency.
