Join us for AARP California’s Let’s Take it Outside™ series that allows participants to learn about and explore outdoor public places and spaces.
According to AARP, “A walk audit is an activity in which participants observe and evaluate the walkability of a location to identify and document if and how pedestrians can safely travel along a street, navigate an intersection, and get from Point A to B and C and so on.”
Governor Scott signed the HOME Act into law on June 5, heralding a big win for housing and livability advocates across Vermont, as well as the community members they serve.

Five South Dakota localities received 2023 AARP Community Challenge grants for improvement projects. The efforts will include:
Seven Ohio entities won 2023 AARP Community Challenge grants—totaling nearly $136,000. Projects included a home repair service for older adults, a grocery store in a food desert and an urban farm.
