Participate in RTD Meetings

As RTD expands bus and rail services, its fare structure has become complex and hard to navigate for a lot of consumers. RTD is currently evaluating its current fare policies, including how fares are calculated based on distance, zones, and class of service such as Regional, Express, and Local/Limited.

RTD has developed fare structure alternatives. The RTD Board of Directors will be holding a series of public meetings between December 3, 2014 and December 11, 2014 throughout the metro area to present these fare structure alternatives and hear your feedback.

RTD staff will present a recommendation to the Board for a fare structure in early 2015, based on these community meetings and their internal evaluations. AARP urges community members to attend these meetings to get information on the proposed changes and provide their feedback. Your input is key if RTD is to arrive at a fare structure that is equitable and meets the needs of our diverse communities.
