AARP is all about empowering people to choose how they live as they age. We are thrilled to be part of Denver Startup Week to interact with the region’s tech innovators and explore how tech can help improve our lives.
Few professions are more honorable than teaching. Molding young minds to function well in society and being able to give back is truly a gratifying pursuit. It's the profession that creates nearly all other professions.
If you were to ask a typical Colorado resident how to fix health care in America, you can be sure he or she would not suggest that Washington allow insurance companies to price people out of affordable coverage.
H ow can a 64-year-old making $26,500 a year afford to have his health care premiums jump from $1,700 to $14,600 a year (a whopping 758 percent increase)? He can’t.
Conscious Aging is an eight-week series about embracing aging and living and passionate and fulfilling mature life. The program, offered by the Denver Public Library, is facilitated by Catherine Dockery, MA*, and is held every Monday at 2 p.m. beginning Feb. 27, 2017.

A Little Help is a Colorado nonprofit that connects neighbors across ages to enhance lives and strengthen our communities. A Little Help helps older adults thrive in their homes by connecting them intergenerationally with neighbors who volunteer for a variety of services.
