AARP is proud to announce our fifth annual bipartisan class of Capitol Caregivers, who fought this year to increase support for family caregivers and their loved ones. Nationwide, AARP has recognized legislators in each state for the support they have provided for caregivers. Here in Delaware, Reps. Ruth Briggs King and Debra Heffernan are this year's awardees. AARP in Delaware thanks them for all they do to make life better for Delaware's 123,000 family caregivers.

Voting in the mid-term elections is easy for some people – just a quick walk around the corner or a short drive to the polling station. But for others, it may seem impossible.

Yvette Peña, AARP’s Vice President for Latino Audience Strategy, will be a guest speaker at the 2018 Latino Summit, “Empowerment through Action.” This year’s Summit will focus on the importance of voting. The Summit ties in well with AARP’s new “Be the Difference, VOTE” campaign. The Campaign encourages voter’s to make their voices heard on issues affected American’s age 50 and over. The event will feature an exciting line-up of entertainment, family activities, music, refreshments, awards and giveaways. Enjoy juggling, face painting and balloon twisting. All are encouraged to wear a favorite costume and win a prize if you win "best costume."
