Discount Tickets for Pompeii Exhibition

Print

Use a discount to get an inside look at life in Pompeii, the ancient Roman city destroyed by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius almost 2,000 years ago, in a traveling exhibit at the Pacific Science Center, 200 Second Ave. North.

In its last showing before returning to Italy, Pompeii: The Exhibition is on display through May 25.

Featuring more than 150 preserved artifacts including coins, cooking vessels, gladiator gear and full body casts, the exhibit is staged and subtly lit to provide an immersive experience. In an eerie coincidence, the exhibit comes to Seattle near the 35th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens and the state’s Volcano Awareness Month in May.

AARP members can receive a $3.50 discount on each of up to four tickets by calling 800-664-8775, buying online at pacificsciencecenter.org or at the door, using the discount code AARPPM. With the discount, a ticket Friday through Sunday for people 65 or older will be $26.50.

AARP members are also invited to participate in an “AARP Monday Morning” event on May 4 at 8:30 a.m., an exclusive program that includes a light breakfast, live presentation and early access to the exhibition for $24.

Tickets for this event can be reserved only by calling 206-443-2931. —Dana Neuts
