AARP Eye Center
As part of ongoing efforts to help Iowans save for their future and enjoy lifelong financial security, AARP is hosting events statewide during Money Smart Week, April 23-30.
AARP will hold a tele-town hall on Tuesday, April 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. Iowans can call in to listen to or take part in a conversation with financial professionals. Topics will include how to find a financial adviser, when to collect Social Security and how to protect your assets from fraud. The call will be recorded and posted online at aarp.org/ia.
In addition, AARP Fraud Watch Network volunteers will give presentations statewide about steps Iowans can take to protect themselves and their families from fraud and financial exploitation. For locations, dates and times, go to moneysmartweek.org/findevents.
Members can also call the AARP state office at 866-554-5378 toll-free or email ia@aarp.org for more information about any of these events.
