Kentuckians will cast their ballots for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and for the state legislature on primary day, Tuesday, May 21.
The voter registration deadline is Monday, April 22. All registered voters can vote early in person with an absentee ballot at designated locations from Thursday, May 16, through Saturday, May 18. No excuse is needed. However, to vote absentee by mail, an excuse is needed, including temporarily living out of state or having an illness or disability.
Polls will be open on primary day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (local time). Voters must bring a photo ID. Ballots may still be cast without one, but it requires additional paperwork. For more, go to elect.ky.gov or aarp.org/kyvotes.
