Program Helps Adults Go Back to School

Books

A new AARP Kentucky program is training volunteers to help adults with some college experience find resources to complete their degrees or earn credentials for in-demand jobs.

The Kentucky Lifelong Learning Ambassador Project is a pilot program that aims to connect AARP members with scholarships, the state’s Project Graduate program and other opportunities.

AARP is collaborating with The Graduate! Network, a national nonprofit that works with community leaders to develop local resources to help adults seeking to return to school.

The project could serve as a national model for linking AARP members with jobs that are in demand due to workforce shortages.

Go to aarp.org/ComebackKY or cpe.ky.gov/pg to learn more about getting help or being a volunteer ambassador.
