AARP is working to make communities across Missouri more livable for residents of all ages. It’s supporting revamped transit stops, the installation of exercise equipment in public parks to promote healthy living, and a home renovation designed to let older adults live independently for as long as possible.

We’re writing with an important message to let you know that we have canceled our external events until further notice. While convening events is a core part of our mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
AARP members can learn more about gardening and the outdoors through monthly classes at Springfield Botanical Gardens, 2400 S. Scenic. Many are free, but registration is required.
AARP Community Challenge grants have funded two projects in the Kansas City area.
“Be the Difference. Vote” is the theme of AARP’s voter education campaign. Every vote counts. Together, we can hold politicians accountable to critical issues like Medicare, Social Security, prescription drugs, caregiving and financial security.
