Educate Yourself About Fraud

Fraud Watch Network logo

When it comes to scams, education is the first line of defense. That’s why AARP New Hampshire is informing Granite Staters about the three R’s of fraud: recognize, resist and report.

A corps of volunteers offers AARP Fraud Watch Network presentations at senior centers, libraries, retirement communities, churches, banks, credit unions, businesses and schools across the state.

Americans lost $15.4 billion to scams in 2016. And more than 7 in 10 AARP New Hampshire members are concerned about consumer fraud or identity theft, a 2016 survey found.

To request a fraud presentation for your community group, email nh@aarp.org. To sign up for watchdog alerts, go to aarp.org/fraudwatchnetwork.
