The Mint Museum Offers Discounts for AARP Members

AARP and The Mint Museum!

All AARP members receive special discounts and offers during the Mint’s new blockbuster exhibition, “ Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment,” on view March 29 through July 20 at Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte. This show, making its first stop on a national tour, features the work of 11 award-winning female National Geographic photographers from places around the globe!

AARP Day: April 5, 2014

Kick off the special discounts by attending on a day devoted especially to members of  AARP! Show your AARP card at the front desk to receive a 50 percent ticket discount for yourself and up to three guests (normal senior ticket price to see “Women of Vision” is $16; your rate is $8 per ticket)! Mint Museum Uptown at Levine Center for the Arts, 500 South Tryon Street. Open 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

AARP admission discounts!

Show your AARP card at the front desk to receive $3 off admission to “Women of Vision” from April 6 through July 20 (that’s nearly 20 percent off the $16 normal senior admission price).

Special AARP events!

Want to sample uptown Charlotte dining? Sign up for AARP Taste of the Mint events, offered exclusively to AARP members at 4 p.m. on April 23 and May 8! Sample small plate and beverage pairings at Halcyon, Flavors from the Earth, and e2 emeril’s eatery restaurants, followed by a special guided tour of “Women of Vision.”  And bring your grandchildren to the Mint’s Sunday Fun Day on June 22 – it will be Grandparents Day at the Mint, with lots of hands-on art activities! (Free general admission for anyone under 18; $5 adult general admission or use your AARP discount for “Women of Vision” admission!)
