As of November 1, 2025, millions of Americans—including many older adults—may not receive their monthly food benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. This disruption affects individuals living on fixed incomes, many of whom rely on SNAP to afford groceries and maintain their health.
The state of Ohio has becomes the latest member of the AARP Network of Age Friendly States and Communities.

The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) promotes artistic and culturally significant films, presenting some of the newest and best artistic endeavors from across the world for the past 38 years. This year’s Film Festival runs March 19 through March 30 at Tower City and focuses on films that open insight into other cultures, new takes on familiar topics, or the directors’ experiences.
What did it take to win AARP’s InstaGrands Photo Contest? For Terri Morris, of Fairview Park, it took tiaras, pink tutus and a whole lot of love.
