Demand Accountability in State Budget for Nursing Homes

The Ohio Senate is at work on their version of the state budget. That budget will see nursing homes receive hundreds of millions of dollars—with little transparency or accountability. AARP is asking you and other taxpayers to take action to let your state senator know they are missing the mark.

Many of you have or had a family member or someone you know in a long-term care facility. It’s important to work together to ensure older Ohioans receive the quality care they need and deserve. While we don’t dispute those funds are needed, we need to make sure it goes to improving the safety and quality of care for nursing home residents and to strengthen Ohio’s direct care workforce.

That’s where you come in. Your voice matters.

You can be a strong advocate for the thousands of residents in Ohio’s nursing homes. Take few minutes of your time to email your senator to ensure these taxpayer dollars are used to provide safe and secure nursing homes for Ohioans and their loved ones.
