Hands with love

AARP Ohio is seeking nominees for the 2019 Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors members who are making a positive impact by volunteering.

The award is named after longtime educator and AARP founder Ethel Percy Andrus. Nominees will be evaluated on how their work has improved their community, supported the organization’s vision and inspired others.

The Ohio recipient will receive a $1,500 award, to be donated to an eligible nonprofit.

The award will be presented at the annual Statewide Volunteer Summit, in the fall. The nomination deadline is July 15.

For more information or to nominate an individual, go to aarp.org/oh or email Kelley Neal at ohvolunteers@aarp.org.
