If you earned $53,930 or less last year, you could receive a larger refund if you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). If you have three or more qualifying children, you could get a maximum credit of up to $6,318. Even if you don’t have children, it could mean up to $510 added to your tax refund.

AARP Oklahoma announced today its support of Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter’s motions to lower utility rates as a result of federal corporate tax reductions taking effect in 2018. Due to recent changes in tax law, utilities in Oklahoma will have their tax payments reduced collectively by $100 million a year, including a reduction of $52 million for OG&E and $24 million for PSO.
AARP Oklahoma urges Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) customers and Oklahoma Corporation Commission to reject PSO's $170 million utility rate hike proposal. If approved by Corporation Commissioners, Dana Murphy, Bob Anthony, and Todd Hiett, PSO's customer bills will increase $14 a month or $168 per year.
