AARP Eye Center
Hello!
These are clearly politically charged times and yet AARP fiercely protects its non-partisan stance. That’s not always easy to do – especially when social media is factored into the equation. But AARP state volunteers know how helpful it is to be able to confidently point to AARP’s history of non-partisan advocacy.
You are invited to an hour-long call on Thursday, October 12 for a look at what AARP is focusing on in Congress. The call will also include an update on AARP’s policy around personal political activity. We want you to have the best information possible along with the opportunity to have your questions answered.
Even though it’s on “off year” for elections, please make time for this important call:
When: Thursday, October 12 at 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. CT / noon MT/ 11 a.m. PT)
How: Dial: 877-209-3531(toll-free and no PIN required)
If you would like to read the official AARP policy for non-partisan political activity, please visit the Volunteer Portal, click on the Libraries tab and type “non-partisan” in the search box.
If you need help logging onto the Portal, please contact the state office, AARP’s Volunteer Help Line at 866-740-7719 or email volunteer@aarp.org
P.S. As always, the calls will be recorded and stored on the Volunteer Portal – http://volunteer.aarp.org – in the Libraries tab (enter TTH in the search box.)
