Thousands of family caregivers in Iowa now have easier access to critical support, thanks to a major expansion of the Caregiver Support Program from AARP and United Way Worldwide. -
Six communities throughout Minnesota will receive 2025 Community Challenge grants. The grants are part of AARP’s $4.2 million commitment to fund quick-action projects aimed at making communities more livable for people of all ages, with a focus on the needs of older adults. The AARP Community Challenge funds innovative projects that inspire change in areas such as public places; housing; transportation; and more. -
Among the breakout sessions will be Baier’s presentation on AARP’s six pillars of brain health. The six pillars of brain health include: being social, engaging your brain, managing stress, ongoing exercise, restorative sleep, and eating right. AARP Wyoming has made brain health education a priority. Each week we offer a robust series of online classes held via zoom that are free and open to the public. Anyone of any age can join. AARP Washington Awards Grants to Seven Washington Organizations as Part of its Nationwide Program to Make Great Communities Even Better -
With this expansion into additional 211 call centers, the Caregiver Support Program will now be available within 25 states and Puerto Rico, reaching 36% of the total U.S. population, and accessible to an estimated 14.6 million family caregivers.

Non-profit organizations in Clearmont, Thermopolis, and Sheridan scored a total of four Community Challenge Grants totaling $31,000, AARP announced today. The grants are part of AARP’s $4.2 million commitment to fund 383 quick-action projects aimed at making communities more livable for people of all ages, with a focus on the needs of older adults. -
