AARP Eye Center
When you hear lots of raucous tweeting at Goodale Park this weekend, you will know you are nearby the AARP Ohio exhibit at the Columbus Pride Festival.
volunteers and staff will be on hand with timely and accurate information about how the new health care law – the Affordable Care Act (ACA), often referred to as Obamacare – works for you. And because studies show LGBT families are “ mobile pioneers,” using smartphones and tablets at more than twice the rate of the wider population, we will be making every effort to connect visitors with ACA information through the AARP Ohio Twitter account.
“We will be using the colorful whistles to encourage visitors to tweet helpful information about the ACA to their friends, family and followers,” explains Kevin Craiglow, on the staff at AARP Ohio.
Among the messages AARP Ohio will share:
- #ACA doesn’t discriminate. aarp.org/healthlawguide #ohaarpHealthLawEdu
- Pre-existing condition? You can’t be denied coverage. Get sick? You can’t be dropped. #ohaarpHealthLawEdu #ACA
- #ACA extends health coverage to age 26 on parents’ insurance. #ohaarpHealthLawEdu
If you miss us at the festival, you can still find helpful information about the ACA in our award-winning online Health Law Guide http://healthlawanswers.aarp.org/?cmp=RDRCT-HLTHLWGD_JUN10_013
