Social Security Resource Center

Many people have questions about Social Security. Those questions can range from “When should I claim benefits?” to “Can I still work and collect Social Security?”

AARP has created the Social Security Resource Center (SSRC) to meet consumer’s ongoing needs for reliable, unbiased and accessible information about Social Security benefits.

The SSRC can help you and others in your community make informed decisions about how and when to claim Social Security benefits. Additionally, the SSRC can answer other top questions, such as:

  • How much Social Security will I get? and
  • What is my full retirement age for Social Security?

The SSRC is a one-stop location for consumer-friendly information. The information is available in both English and Spanish.
