Sole to Soul Walk Scheduled for June 21st in Dallas, OR

Sable House (the only domestic violence and sexual assault shelter in Polk County, Oregon) in partnership with Abby's House of Western Oregon University will launch its first Sole to Soul Walk (5k) event on Saturday June 21st at 10 am at Dallas High School in Dallas, Oregon.

The event is a 5k journey celebrating all those who desire to create a more peaceful world. The special keynote speaker is Mildred Muhammad, author of Scared Silent and the ex-wife of the D.C. sniper. AARP State Director Jerry Cohen will be in attendance to walk and cheer the crowd. There will be other entertainment at the event along with craft tables, book sales/signings, and a silent auction. Funding raised from the event will support Sable House programs serving women and children.
