You'll find information from the AARP Fraud Watch Network, resources for caregivers, and the exciting Life Reimagined photo booth will capture your creativity. Several state agencies that provide resources to older adults will join us as well.
HOME AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES–Improve funding for key home and community- based long-term care programs that help seniors stay in their homes and remain independent. South Carolina ranked 4th in the nation for the most seniors 60 and older at risk of hunger. Now we must fight for Lt. Governor Glenn McConnell’s request for $4.7 million so that older folks will not go hungry or miss their doctor’s appointments.
The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP is dedicated to providing free prevention and early detection health services to the nation’s underserved communities. Now through December, the tour travels the country providing free tests, assessment, education, and consulting services to populations of communities with the highest prevalence for leading diseases and uninsured and unemployed community members.
