Are bored with your exercise routine and ready to try something new? Or maybe you are ready to begin working on those fitness goals you’ve been thinking about? AARP Dallas-Fort Worth is here to give you some support! It’s free, it’s virtual, fun and good for you.
This summer, AARP is offering several series of classes designed to start you on your way to feeling physically better and stronger. Not only are these classes fun, but they are designed for the beginner, and no special training or equipment is needed.

Latin Dance Workout - Let's Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue!
This wellness-focused class will guide you through various Latin dance styles with easy-to-follow steps and upbeat music. Have fun improving your coordination and balance, exercise while learning new skills, and let loose to the passionate beats of Latin music. Put on your dancing shoes and let's salsa! The workout series occurs every Wednesday at 2 p.m. CST, from July 5 through August 23. Nia Moving to Heal Workout
There are proven health benefits to keeping your body moving! Nia makes it enjoyable, engaging your whole self in movement that incorporates expressive dance and the martial arts to help you feel better physically and emotionally. Try out this gentle, entry-level Nia Moving to Heal class, led by Jule Aguirre, an international Nia training faculty member. The Nia workout series occurs every Tuesday 10 a.m. CST, from July 11 through August 29. This event is FREE, but registration is required for each class you plan to attend. This gentle and graceful physical activity involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner, accompanied by deep breathing. Tai Chi is a non-competitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
